Our Vision
Motivated by our love for Jesus Christ, Mission Lexington seeks to share the “Good News” through hands-on ministries. By providing for the physical needs of people, they are shown that God loves them and cares what happens to them. All of our ministries are based on the opportunity to show and share the love of Jesus Christ.
Top 10 Current needs:
1. Prayer! God hears our prayers and is faithful to answer.
2. Volunteers! We need you – an hour, an afternoon, a day. Bible study, food and clothing distribution, cleaning, dental clinic host – God has given you gifts and passion – let us know how you’d like to serve.
3. Food! We give out food weekly at our Crystal Springs apartment, and always need canned goods, pasta and rice, cereal, baby food and diapers.
4. Bible Study leaders! Sundays at 11:00 we need you to help lead Bible study for adult and children. No training needed – we’ll make sure you have everything you need.
5. Computer! We need a computer on which to maintain a data base of people we meet and help.
6. Men’s work clothes! The men who come to our clothing bank are hard workers and need clothes appropriate for their work day – pants, shirts, shoes, socks, jackets.
7. Financial support! We do need continuing financial support for our growing ministry efforts. The dental clinic requires supplies on an on-going basis, and our apartment ministry requires rent, utilities, and cleaning supplies.
8. Household goods! The residents at our apartment ministry generally come to Lexington with nothing – no clothes, no furniture, no furnishings. We can give away household items like dishes and kitchen equipment, sheets and towels, and ironing boards and vacuum cleaners. We don’t have the space to store furniture, but can usually make arrangements for immediate delivery if you have furniture to donate.
9. Toys and books! We love to be able to give each child that comes in a toy and book.
10. Prayer! First, last and always, we need your prayer support. Mountains can be moved, and lives and communities changed when our prayers are lifted up to God.

Household goods: sheets, towels, dishes, utensils, silverware, bowls, irons, ironing boards, small appliances, microwaves
Personal Hygiene items: shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, socks, underwear
